The Parco Ducale Country House is one kilometre from the center of Urbania, a splendid small town in the province of Pesaro-Urbino, rich in history, art and tradition.
Our country house is about 15 minutes drive from Urbino. The area around Urbania is rich in historical and cultural sites where it is still possible to trace the passage of time. In these places noble castles and towers were erected from the Middle Ages through to the Renaissance.
Urbania enjoys a central position within the Valle del Metauro, nestling in the foothills of the Tosco-Marchigiano Apennines and stretching to the Adriatic Sea at Fano. The view facing the Tuscan Apennines leads first to the village of Peglio high on its hill then to the charming village of Sant'Angelo in Vado, through Mercatello to reach Borgo Pace, full of hiking and mountain biking trails, or you can relax while playing golf (www.golfalpedellaluna.it).
Urbania is a few kilometres from the historic cities of Urbino and Gubbio, wonderful examples of a rich, artistic past.
How to reach us
From Rome:
highway A1 up to Orte, continue towards Terni, then along the E45 towards Perugia-Cesena, exit at Perugia once in Bosco-Gubbio and continue towards Fano and Urbania. In Urbania follow the directions to Barco Ducale, an ancient summer residence of the Dukes of Urbino, adjacent to our Parco Ducale Country House.
From Milan:
highway A1 to Bologna, then A14 to Pesaro-Urbino exit and continue for Urbania. In Urbania follow the directions to Barco Ducale, an ancient summer residence of the Dukes of Urbino, adjacent to our Parco Ducale Country House.
From Florence:
highway A1 up to Arezzo, continue towards San Sepolcro following directions to Urbino-Fano-Pesaro until you reach Urbania.
